This weeks drink of the week is not meant to be confused with the weird medical condition your grandpa has. The Fuzzy Navel is a delicious mix of peach and orange that was created in the early 1980’s by Ray Foley, founder of Bartender Magazine. The drink was one of the first to be created as part of the cocktail and mixed drink boom in the 80’s. Since it’s invention there have been play’s on it’s name, including the Hairy Navel, which is the same drink with more vodka. This more hair = more alcohol algorithm led to my personal creation the Wookie’s Navel, in which you replace all of the ingredient’s with Everclear. Warning this version of the drink is disgusting and I beg you not to try it. I just invented it so I could have another fancy certificate to hang on my wall, and I kind of thought George Lucas would send me some sort of autograph, it worked if you count a subpoena!
