Drink Of The Week : California Rootbeer
This weeks drink of the week is California Rootbeer. Sure everyone loves the classic tried and true Root Beer recipe, but it has one fatal flaw: a 0% alcohol content. It was my moral obligation to fix this. So after many weeks of binge drin- umm lab work, countless recipe attempts, and a combined total of roughly 235 gallons of vodka and Root Beer; the California Root Beer is perfect. This delicious mix of vodka and Root Beer flavored Schnapps tastes just like the drink you used to pretend to get drunk off as kids, with the added bonus of now actually getting you drunk. As my method has proven time and time again everything is better if you add alcohol: Root Beer, birthday parties, taxes, family gatherings, your bloodstream, etc. Europeans had been using the sassafras root to make a drink similar to modern Root Beer as far back as the 16th century. Thanks to technological advancement we now have a version of it that gets you drunk and if that is not science at it’s best I don’t know what is.
